Transportation & Family
Every great business has a story, but ours begins long before CW Heritage Farms ever existed. It starts in the 1940s, with a city bus, a chance encounter, and a love story that would unknowingly shape four generations of transportation and service.
In the heart of Asheville, my great-grandfather worked as a city bus driver, navigating the winding mountain roads with a steady hand and a deep sense of responsibility for every passenger he carried. It was during this time, amid the routine of routes and stops, that he met his lifelong soulmate. What began as a simple meeting quickly became the foundation of something far greater: a family rooted in connection, reliability, and care for others.
Together, they built not only a life but a legacy.
Transportation wasn’t just a job; it became part of who they were. That passion carried into the next generation, where driving buses became a shared experience even in their early years. While still in high school, members of the family followed in those same footsteps, taking on the responsibility of transporting others safely and efficiently. It was more than work; it was a rite of passage and a continuation of values instilled from the generation before.
As time moved forward, each generation adapted to the evolving needs of their communities, but the core remained unchanged: a commitment to service, safety, and meaningful experiences. From city buses to private transportation, the family’s role in moving people through life’s moments continued to grow.
Today, that legacy lives on through CW Heritage Farms. What once began as public transit has transformed into curated, intentional transportation experiences for weddings, events, and special occasions. While the vehicles and settings may have changed, the heart behind it all remains the same, bringing people together, creating lasting memories, and honoring a tradition that began over 80 years ago.
